Dr. Mumin
Dr. Mumin and Dr. O'Connell
BUCK COUNTY INTERMEDIATE UNIT WELCOMES SECRETARY MUMIN:
This past week, Dr. Kahlid Mumin, Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth visited the BCIU. His inspiring 90 minute talk focused on remaining student centered in our work as educators and doing our best for each and every student we serve. He shared some insight regarding the direction of the Department of Education going forward and his passion as a leader in education. It was an invigorating conversation and Dr. Mumin's personality and drive are infectious! We look forward to great things from the department under his stewardship!
Dr. Mumin served in many administrative roles in Bucks County schools over the years! This meeting was a coming home of sorts for him! The IU did a wonderful job hosting the event. Pictured above are many of the Superintendents from Bucks County with Dr. Mumin. Also pictured with our own Superintendent O'Connell.

SENATOR COLEMAN TOURS UPPER BUCKS TECH SCHOOL:
After his very successful Senior Citizen Expo on Thursday, Senator Jarrett Coleman took some time to tour UBCTS. He learned more about the programs and curriculum offered, talked about enrollment and funding needed to provide excellent experiences for our future workforce. I was especially proud of our students who spoke with the Senator about their involvement and engagement in their programs. This was a very enlightening tour for Senator Coleman.
Speaking of student successes...the baking program offers so many options to choose from for the holiday season!
