COMMUNITY SCHOOL PROGRAMS - working on a new line up...for now, introducing:

Health Qi Gong (pronounced chee gong) combines stretches, flowing movements, and breath to clear tension from the muscles, reduce stress, and calm the mind. The gentle rhythmic movements of Qi Gong teach you to move with relaxation. Qi Gong helps to create physical and emotional balance in the body. It is both energizing and relaxing. Practiced as a form of exercise it improves vitality, helps to boost the immune system, prevent illness and improves balance.

PHS FITNESS CENTER IS OPEN TO PALISADES' RESIDENTS!

The Fitness Center at the high school is open to the community on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9PM and on Saturdays from 8AM until noon.  It is free for current staff/students, emergency management personnel and veterans.  All others pay $5/visit, $15/month or $200 for the year.  Click here for more details - Fitness Center Hours

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT PALISADES:  

Evening Custodian: full-time, 12 month, evening custodian position available at Durham Nockamixon School. The interested candidate must be able to perform routine cleaning of assigned areas both independently and as a team, assist with snow removal, lawn care, and set up for special events. The candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as the successful candidate will assist with moving furniture and equipment. Position is 7.5 hrs per day starting as soon as possible. Hours during the school year are 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch). During the summer, the hours shift to daytime. This is a support staff contracted position and receives all benefits as per the collective bargaining agreement.  Hourly rate: $23.52/hour after a successful probationary period.

Candidate must be able to complete multiple tasks, prepare food, cook meals, serve the student meals, and assist with routine kitchen tasks such as operating kitchen equipment and daily clean-up.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM AT DN - DELAYED!!! This FREE program for families with children ages 3 and 4 who meet the income requirements (family of 4 earning less than $90,000) is TEMPORARILY DELAYED (LifeSpan is in the process of hiring a teacher for the program). RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION FORMS - It literally takes about 10-15 minutes per child:  In order to complete your student’s Returning Student Registration Forms, please log into your PowerSchool Account, select your child and click on the FORMS link on the left hand side under INFORMATION.  You will then see the forms to be completed   THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO COMPLETE!  We must have up to date medical and contact information for your student(s).  It doesn’t take long to complete, and the information is imperative for us to communicate effectively with you AND to provide the medical attention your student(s) need.  Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.  Any questions, please contact me at 610-847-5131, ext. 2401 or email [email protected]

PCF Logo

 

PCF will be running our Annual Coat Drive from October 2nd to 20th - gently used or new YOUTH AND TEEN coats needed! Start gathering those coats for drop off at any one of our school buildings. A coat distribution will be held on Saturday, November 11th from 9AM until noon. Any monetary donations to PCF to help with this event can be made by visiting the website at www.palisadescommunityfoundation.com

Also from PCF, the World Famous Harlem Wizards are coming to Palisades High School on Monday November 13th - mark your calendar for this family fun event!  More details to follow.

SENIOR CITIZENS EXPO: Senator Jarrett Coleman will be hosting a Senior Expo on October 12th at the Upper Bucks County Technical School from 9am-1pm at 3115 Ridge Road, Perkasie PA 18944. 

Seniors will be able to enjoy food/drinks, receive a flu shot, play games, attend seminars and whole lot more. On behalf of Senator Coleman, we would appreciate your help with sharing our event sign-up with your friends and neighbors.

On November 5, 2023, the Pre-Vet Club will host a symposium for high school students interested in animal and veterinary fields. The symposium offers participants an exciting opportunity to hear from current 
DelVal students and gain hands on learning experience throughout various workshops. The registration fee is $25 per student and lunch is included! The deadline for registration is 
October 5, 2023Parents/Guardians are welcome to stay for the duration of the event but will not be participating in workshops with students. There is a $10 registration fee for parents/guardians. The fee includes lunch and informational sessions. On November 10th, we will gather in person for our annual "A Worthwhile Evening" to celebrate the accomplishments of the women we serve and to cast a vision for the future of our programs. During this event, we will have a Live and Silent Auction. As part of our Silent Auction, we are seeking groups to put together themed baskets valued at around $150-$250.
