Giant Check

GIANT AND PSD WORKING TOGETHER TO ELIMINATE CHILD HUNGER!

We are excited to announce Palisades School District is a recipient of @ GIANT’s Feeding School Kids Round Up program! Thanks to GIANT’s support, we received a check in the amount of $3,956.22 to grow school feeding programs and help eliminate child hunger within our schools.  Thank you to all who rounded up at the register! Together with Giant, we are ensuring students have access to the nutrition they need to grow and fuel their education.  #FeedingSchoolKids #EliminatingHunger

PSD Pre K Counts Program

PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO COMPLETE THIS SURVEY!

As directed by our board members who serve on the Education Programs and Service Committee and our Superintendent, we are gathering information (using a brief survey linked below) to determine the need for a FREE Pre-K Program in the Palisades School District.  This program would be made available for the 2023-24 school year through a grant from the state of PA.  We are currently in the process of working with our partners - United Way and Life Span School and Daycare - to submit a grant application for this program if we find a need in our community.  Please note there is a minimum of 10 children required to run the program through this grant.

The program would be open to families with children ages 3 or 4 (by 8/31/23) with an income level less than $90,000 for a family of four.  The program will be a 6 hour program, likely 8:30AM to 2:45PM, and requires the families to transport their child/ren to and from the program.  If approved, the program will be held at one of our elementary schools (to be selected based on the location of families who are interested in the program).

We are truly excited to possibly offer this program if we find the need does exist and we are able to secure the grant.  Please share this survey with neighbors, family and friends who might be interested.  Thank you for taking the time to complete this brief survey and for your support!  Any questions, please contact me or Marie Collie (Durham Nockamixon Elementary Principal) using email [email protected]  or [email protected] - you may also call 610-847-5131 at exts. 2401 or 3001.
